John Hyland

Top-Down Experience

John Hyland joined the DCG team after 20 years at Hyundai Motors America, where he advanced through several positions, including District Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, and finally General Manager of the Eastern Region.

Managing a team of over 50 employees, John was responsible for consulting with hundreds of dealerships up and down the East Coast. During his tenure, John helped grow Hyundai’s largest US region to top performance in retail sales, market share, wholesale performance, parts and service performance, CPO sales, and customer satisfaction.

The Expertise That Comes from Leadership

Prior to joining Hyundai Motor America, John held various positions in retail, at one point owning his own Hyundai dealership. He earned a B.S. with Honors in Business Management and Marketing from Holy Family University in Philadelphia and graduated from the Executive Leadership Program at the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business.

As DCG’s Managing Director, Hyland brings over 27 years of experience in automotive, both from the retail and manufacturer sides. John uses his expertise in developing relationships with auto dealers from around the US and providing strategies to grow their business through increased sales and service.
