William “Woody” Woodward has been in the retail automotive business for over 37 years. Woody has specialized in turning around underperforming dealerships through improving sales and fixed operations performances, as well as start-ups from ground zero. Through his strong leadership skills and his contagious positive attitude, he has had a successful track record of building great dealerships and improving sales, CSI and profitability. Woody’s understanding of automotive industry and his strategic approach to the business make him an invaluable asset to dealers looking to expand their portfolio of dealerships, improve their dealer operations, or exit the business.
Prior to joining Dave Cantin Group, Woody worked for Prestige Automotive Group based in New Jersey in numerous leadership roles responsible for turnarounds of underperforming dealerships, as well as the opening of new dealerships. Woody also had his own private consultant business practice for over 18 years, working with several large dealer groups, manufacturers, and independent dealers throughout the Northeast focusing on improving dealerships operational performances. He started in the business as a salesman and would grow to be Vice President/General Manager of Inskip Autocenter, which he helped build into one of the most prestigious Mercedes Benz, BMW, Porsche, Audi, Rolls Royce, Bentley, Lexus, and Infiniti dealership groups in the country.
