The Star Family of Dealerships, owned by Mike Dunnahoo and Tracy Gilliam, also includes Star CDJR of Big Spring, Star CDJR in Abilene, and Star Hyundai in Abilene. Tony Karabon of DCG facilitated the transaction. Prior to entering the retail automotive business, Tony practiced corporate, real estate, and transactional law at Jackson Walker LLP in Dallas, Texas; Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and Powell Goldstein LLP (now Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP) in Atlanta Georgia. Tony holds an accounting degree from Marquette University and law and MBA degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
