DCG Continues Hawaii Dealership Advisory Success with Big Island Chevrolet Transaction
The Dave Cantin Group is proud to have advised and managed the sale of Big Island Chevrolet by seller Jackie De Luz and family to Timothy Dagenais of Tony Hawaii Automotive Group, marking a strategic move in the Hawaii market.
The De Luz family has been serving the Big Island automotive community for over six decades and has been locally owned and operated since 1962. Big Island Motors grew from a small used car lot in Hilo into a multi-franchise operation and acquired more franchises, including Chevrolet, Subaru, and Toyota.
This transaction marks DCG’s continued partnership with the De Luz family in Hawaii. DCG previously facilitated the sale of Big Island Toyota’s Hilo and Kona locations to Servco Pacific Inc., Hawaii’s largest dealership group and ranked No. 14 on the Automotive News’ Top 150 list.
Tony Hawaii Automotive Group has served Hawaii for more than 45 years, with dealerships across Oahu, Kona, and Hilo. The acquisition of Big Island Chevrolet broadens Tony Hawaii Automotive Group’s manufacturer portfolio and strengthens its presence on the Big Island.
