Brian Gordon

Brian Gordon serves as President of the Dave Cantin Group (DCG), driving business strategy and key growth initiatives while presiding over all day-to-day operations. Gordon has led DCG’s methodical transformation from a brokerage business to the leading M&A advisor in retail automotive, an evolution that has impacted every aspect of the organization.

Gordon’s experience leading consultancy-based services businesses and Cantin’s long-termvision for the business has shaped the company’s strategic direction. Under Gordon’s leadership, the executive leadership team has reorganized the business, centralized operations, and leaned heavily into data and intelligence, all while putting the client at the center of the advisory business model.

Gordon’s work transforming DCG has drawn on his dynamic style, ability to build cohesive teams, and 25 years of experience building and operating businesses. Since 2004, Gordon has built and exited two service businesses calling some of the world’s most renowned global brands clients, including American Express, Anheuser-Busch, Delta Airlines, Diageo, ESPN, General Motors, Hilton, Mercedes-Benz, Microsoft, Motorola, and Sony.

Previously, Gordon served as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for Accelerate360, LLC, a nextgeneration consumer product conglomerate intimately involved in all critical aspects of delivering products into consumers’ hands. In his role as CMO, Gordon oversaw all business-to-business marketing initiatives related to the company’s core lines of business, internal marketing and communications, and the strategic extensions of Accelerate360’s media properties’ intellectual property, including US Weekly and Men’s Journal.

Prior to Accelerate360, Gordon founded Engine Shop (2012) and presided over the agency’s rapid growth into one of the industry’s leading full-service brand strategy and engagement marketing agencies. In addition to his day-to-day operational duties, Gordon led the negotiation, management, and activation of high-profile sports investments for clients across a wide swath of partners: NFL (naming rights), NBA teams, MLS team, US Open (tennis), PGA of America, Augusta National GC, FIFA and Activision Blizzard among others. This work led to the agency being named Best in Events and Experiential by Sport Business Journal in 2017. Engine Shop was acquired by George Pyne’s Bruin Sports Capital in 2015, and Gordon remained with the business as CEO until 2021. Gordon launched his first business in 2004, MMG, which was acquired by SFX Entertainment in 2012. He began his career working in entertainment, representing celebrity talent including Cameron Diaz and Tyra Banks.

Gordon is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, and with his wife Maria has three sons: Jackson, Lucas, and Benjamin.
