Jay Brichke practiced as a CPA, licensed in NY, NJ & CT. During this time, Jay developed a nationally recognized expertise in financial structuring and reporting for Alternative Investments, specifically Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Venture Capital and Real Estate. Among many similar engagements, Jay functioned as CFO for the Dell Family’s Alternative Investments. After 25 years of success, he sold his CPA Practice in 2002. Jay always had a passion for the automotive business, so from 2002 to 2006, he established and operated a “Wholesale to the Public” on-line used car business, in which he bought “packages” of used car trades from New Car Dealers. Jay had the acquired used car trades reconditioned and always maintained inventory of 200 units in one location. He marketed the inventory on-line exclusively which, back in 2002 was not widely done.
Buy it, Build it, Sell it
Jay’s success allowed him to sell the On-Line Used Car Dealership in 2007, at which time he acquired a Ford Dealership and a Hyundai Dealership. He operated those Dealerships until he sold Ford in 2009, and then sold Hyundai in 2010. This allowed him to establish a “new point” for KIA in Freehold, NJ. The performance of Freehold KIA was so positive that KIA awarded him another “new point” in Toms River, NJ. In 2016, Jay constructed a New Facility for Toms River KIA on 5 acres in Toms River, NJ. He operated both Freehold KIA and Toms River KIA until 2017, when he sold both KIA businesses. In 2014, Jay established an independent Used Car Dealership in Old Bridge, NJ. The Dealership is located on a major state highway near both the Garden State Parkway and NJ Turnpike. As a result, the location draws traffic from all over NJ, as well as the 5 Boros of NY. In 2021, Jay sold the operating business.
Jay’s 25 years in the financial sector as a successful CPA and his 20 years of hands-on experience in the automotive industry are the perfect combination for continued success in the Mergers and Acquisition business.
