LAS VEGAS – Day three of NADA Show 2022 ended with a bang thanks to the Dave Cantin Group’s VIP afterparty, which hosted a capacity crowd of automotive influencers and celebrities at legendary hotspot LAVO on Saturday night.
Headlining the afterparty was a keynote address by sports icon Sugar Ray Leonard. The boxing legend and former five-division world champion pleased the crowd with his trademark witty and inspiring remarks. Topping the night off, Voyage, the top Journey tribute band in the world, rocked the venue with the soaring vocals and searing guitar work of Journey’s most epic hits.
In addition to wrapping up DCG’s successful showing at NADA Show, the event also commemorated the recent launch of DCG Giving. DCG’s new nonprofit is committed to fighting childhood cancers through funding local organizations that are doing important work in communities big and small across the country. DCG has long donated a part of its proceeds from each transaction to a local charity helping to battle pediatric cancer in the area nearby the acquired dealership. Now, DCG Giving aims to focus the generosity of the entire automotive industry into these worthy causes.
The afterparty also featured a heartfelt and motivating speech by the founder and CEO of the Dave Cantin Group, Dave Cantin. Dave regaled the audience with stories of triumph and fortitude across the industry. Also making a presentation about the power of giving was Dr. Michael Weiner, DCG Giving’s Director of Philanthropy, pediatric oncologist, and the current Vice-Chair of Pediatrics at Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
In view of the overwhelming demand for tickets this year, DCG is planning to acquire an even larger venue for its afterparty at next year’s NADA Show on January 26-29, 2023 in Dallas. “Everything’s bigger in Texas, and our 2023 NADA afterparty will be as well,” said CEO Dave Cantin.
