The Biggest Night at NADA was once Again Brought to you by the Dave Cantin Group
Flash back to the 2022 NADA Show in Las Vegas. The Dave Cantin Group made the front page of the February 2022 issue of Automotive News – our team was dubbed “The Undisputed Kings of the Afterparty”. From that moment, the automotive industry knew the bar had firmly been set.
Now flash forward to the 2023 NADA Show in Dallas. The Dave Cantin Group team has taken that standard and set the bar even higher, proving they deserve their title by hosting the hottest event of the weekend, the VIP Heavyweight Dinner featuring the legend himself, “Iron” Mike Tyson.
A Veritable Who’s Who
If you were a mover and shaker, you were there. Over 250 hand-selected VIP guests representing the biggest names in the automotive industry walked up the winding staircase at Dallas’s top restaurant, Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse, for a private sit-down dinner with friends, colleagues, celebrities and authorities. This was an evening of food, drink, fun, and a massive outdoor seafood tower that may as well have contained half the ocean!
We All Came Together and Did Something Great
With your help, we raised a quarter of a million dollars for the fight against pediatric cancer. Guests came ready to support this worthiest of causes and stepped up for a live auction of three boxing gloves with Mike Tyson’s signature. DCG CEO Dave Cantin and DCG President Brian Brown presented a $40,000 check to a Dallas-based member of the Children’s Oncology Group and local 15-year-old leukemia survivor Valentina, bringing the night’s total to over $250,000 raised for DCG Giving, the charitable arm of the Dave Cantin Group, and local pediatric cancer organizations.
Outside the Ring Is Where the Action Is
“Iron” Mike Tyson, worldwide cultural icon and one of the greatest heavyweight champions of all time, addressed the VIP crowd, speaking about what it takes to be a champion in business, his own entrepreneurial ventures, and defeating the challenges we all face in life. Mike then joined the group for a world-class steak dinner as only Del Frisco’s can provide. A meet-and-greet photo session with the champ rounded out the night before Tyson departed.
Another special guest, celebrity psychiatrist Dr. Daniel Amen, made a surprise appearance, presenting signed copies of one of his 12 New York Times bestselling books to every single attendee.
